Deen Dayal Upadhyay Government Post Graduate College

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Government Post Graduate College, Saidabad was established in 1999 by the then Higher Education Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Rakesh Dhar Tripathi. The institution began its academic journey with undergraduate programs — Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).

In 2007, the college broadened its academic spectrum by introducing Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) at the undergraduate level along with postgraduate programs — Master of Arts (M.A.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Hindi, Sociology, Political Science, History, Zoology, Botany, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Initially, the college was affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJM University), Kanpur, until 2016. Since 2016, it has been affiliated with Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj. The College is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.


Location & Accessibility

The college is located in Saidabad Block of Handia Tehsil, in Prayagraj District, Uttar Pradesh. It is situated approximately 30 km east of the district headquarters on the historic Old GT Road connecting Prayagraj to Varanasi.
